Aral Sea, devastation till the horizon (future project)

This sea is located between the two main Asian Republics of ex-USSR : Kazakstan and Uzbekistan. Not so long ago, this inland sea was still occupying the fourth place on the planetary's scale. However, in less that 30 years it has lost 75% of its volume and 55% of its surface area. Without a crucial intervention, it will disappear before 2025.

Desolate shores and fishing ports lost at more than 150 km from the actual shorelines, naval fleets wrecked in the middle of the desert, this region offers thought-provoking subjects on the edge of topicality where, still major challenges on humanitarian grounds are already at stake.
